Poole Park is a Victorian park just a short walk from the town centre with play areas, outdoor gym, tennis courts, putting green, cricket pitch and attractions to suit all ages. At the heart of the park is The Ark which has superb all-weather play facilities for all ages including indoor ice skating rink, children’s soft play area, ice cream parlour and café. Poole Park Railway is a must for children with its half-mile trip around the wildfowl lake and runs daily from Easter to the end of October, school holidays and weekends. It is now owned by Friend of Poole Park, operating times daily subject to volunteer availability and climatic conditions.
Sail round Poole Park’s 55-acre lake where Poole Harbour’s famous islands are recreated in miniature. Rockley Watersports’ purpose-built centre in the park offers sailing, windsurfing, kayaks, pedalos and rowing boats including taster sessions.
