It can be useful to put yourself in your customers’ shoes and think about how you would want to feel if you are a customer coming to your business. If you are going out for the day with your family, on holiday with friends, or away on business on your own, some of the things that you might expect are:
- to be made to feel welcome
- to be put at ease
- to be listened to
- that the business is professional and you can trust them
- you feel you are important to the business and they value your custom
- to feel confident that they are competent and knowledgeable and can respond to your needs
- to get value for money
So if this is what you might expect it’s safe to assume that your customers will be looking for a similar experience.
Take some time to think about this before moving on.
So with this in mind what are some of the things that you might be able to do in your role to help meet these expectations?
It may be helpful to note down your answer, why not discuss with your manager for ideas.
