Buses

The main bus companies that operate in Bournemouth are Yellow Buses and Wilts and Dorset (which includes More buses) and these are available in Bournemouth Square with various stops around the town.  If in doubt, direct a visitor to the Square, as most buses stop and travel from there!

The ‘Getting About Ticket’ is a one day ticket valid for unlimited travel on the day of purchase for most buses within Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. The ticket is bought from the driver of the first bus you use and then valid for the rest of that day when shown on boarding other buses. The ticket can only be used for travel within Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.

The Night Bus service is a great and affordable way to get home after a night out. Night buses in Bournemouth and Poole run on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Look for buses N6 with Yellow Bus (single fare £2) and N1, N2 and N3 with More Bus (single fare £3) after midnight.

Sightseeing Tour Bus

There are also sightseeing tours available in the town which are run by Discover Dorset/City Sightseeing so if your guests would enjoy a scheduled and organised trip of the town and surrounding areas then refer them to the Discover Dorset website, www.discoverdorset.co.uk

Bike Hire

If your visitors are keen to do some cycling whilst enjoying their stay in Bournemouth you can refer them to Kool Cycle Hire in West Cliff Road or Front Bike Hire along Bournemouth Undercliff and they can offer a range of bikes to hire.

You can get further information about cycling in Bournemouth on the council website.
